I am Kenyan trained and registered Occupational Therapist by profession with 10 years of working experience with different disabilities in different developing countries.
 
My recent  overseas assignment was with Christoffel Blind Mission (CBM)in Port-au-Prince, Haiti as an Occupational Therapist attached to Hospital Adventiste d’Haiti from March 2011 up to 23rd December 2011.
 
Have worked in Sri Lanka with Voluntary Services Overseas [VSO] where I was seconded to YED (Youth, Elderly and Disabled persons) Unit, Ministry of Healthcare & Nutrition, Colombo for 3 years.
 
I Worked in India for 2 ½ years as an Occupational Therapy Advisor with SANKALP, a Non- Governmental Organization in the state of Uttar Pradesh under the auspices of Voluntary Services Overseas [VSO].
 
Have also worked in Kenya for 3 years with Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya [APDK] – Nairobi as an Occupational Therapist in the Community Based Rehabilitation Programme.
 
My career path as an Occupational Therapist [OT] has been rehabilitation of physically disabled people; children with developmental disorders, as well as people with psychosocial dysfunction in Hospitals, community based rehabilitation [CBR] and in school based. 
 
My career objective is to use my knowledge, abilities and experience to manage and prevent disability, promote independent living for people with special needs in the society. I have good training experience in fields of disabilities, working in emergency situations, management, computer literate and able to write reports well.
